A letter to the king
Level 4 continues the story
After the royal visit, Wiliem has a new dream: to see d’hauhl ardise, the king’s house. The king says yes — if he can speak Maquish fluently. Through winter Wiliem studies, in spring he travels, and in summer he comes home with a story to tell.
In this book you’ll learn verbs like want, need, try with a second verb, how to report what people say and think, how to talk about conditions and imagined situations, how to link events in time, how to show contrast, and how to say that someone makes or lets someone do something.
